From Pre-school turntables to Technique 1200's... this 22 year old DJ G$Money has taken a turn from just playing records to literally moving the audiences that he entertains. This Queens native spent most of his youth Dj'ing at local parties, sweet 16's and other neighborhood events. G$Money's persistence and dedication to his craft paid off, as the jobs lead to some of the Tri-State Area's extravagant nightclubs. Some of which include, Amazura, The Elite Ark, Club Avalon, Jay-Z's prominent 40/40 Club, Remote Lounge, De River Night Club, Club Carib in New Rochelle, Vesta Lounge, Mars 2112, Club Peppers, Maryland University, The Parrot, Pearl Street Night Club in Massachusetts, etc. He has hosted parties with some of the biggest names such as; Big Kap, Grandmaster Vic, DJ Reg West (Lil Kim's DJ), DJ Suss One (Power 105.1 & Mariah Carey's DJ), Nina Sky, also Hot 97 Radio personalities DJ Envy, DJ Enuff, and Mister Cee.
G$ Money has left his mark on the television world as well by hosting rapper Lil' Kim's birthday party which aired on BET's Countdown to Lockdown show. Dj for Island Def Jam Artist Karina Paisan, at a Def Jam showcase. He also won the DJ Battle at Crash Mansion in NYC, in which his judges were: Joe Jaxson, Red Café, Dj Self, DJ Envy, and Shortman Movements, each gave him unanimous decisions over his competition leading him to a victorious debut. G$Money is widely known for his blend mix-tapes that swarmed the streets of New York. This success would eventually catch the eye of young music mogul/entrepreneur Basco Rebenga who in turn offered him a major role as the official DJ for Co-Star Entertainment. In less than 2 years DJ G$Money has released over six mix-tapes, and captioning an audiences ranging from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, all the way to Virginia, Florida, California, and even Japan. He also works as the Head of the A&R Department for Co-Star Entertainment, in which he currently works directly with Co-Star Entertainments lead artist, Yung 6 & Flip. This particular position would benefit G$Money greatly.
During the spring of 2007 while playing at a local nightclub, G$Money debuted a new up and coming artist’s song called “Aunt Jackie”. This would then catch the ear of Hot 97 radio personality DJ Envy who was also a DJ for the event that night. DJ Envy immediately insisted that G$Money send him this particular song. About a week or so later on the Hot 97 Morning Show DJ Envy sent a thank you shout-out to G$Money while interviewing Jason Fox of Hood Presidents for introducing him to the Aunt Jackie and sending him the song. A few weeks later, Jason Fox (the creator of “Aunt Jackie”) is signed to So So Def/ Island Def Jam, where DJ Envy is the Head of the A&R.Department DJ G$Money is constantly credited for the musical marriage.
G$Money acquired an internship with Sirus Radio personalities the Wonder Twinz, and continued on to work in the Urban Media Department for Universal Records. He currently works with Drahma Magazine on their radio show (Drahma Reality Radio), as well as the AOL Mix through Tapemasters INC. on AOL Radio. A Mentor/DJ for I Love My Life Program, which is a program that helps young adults in the community. G$Money is a loyal & dedicated member and have spoken to several children at different high schools. The Program was featured on the Salt N Pepa Show and in The Newsday, Our Times, Channel 5 & 9 News.
G$Money has recently received his Bachelors Degree at Five Towns College majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Audio Recording. This young ambitious and highly driven individual strives to leave his legacy on the world by proving to everyone that he will settle for nothing less than continual achievement. My legacy will be to ask anyone in the world one question?…
