Playlists Of Life - “When They Went Solo”
37 memorable songs at a lil over 2 hours where music artists from some of our favorite groups took the solo route. There was a time when being part of a group was the ultimate way to gain recognition in the music industry. Whether it was a duo like the Clipse or a nine-member group like Wu-Tang Clan, having a rap squad carried immense notoriety among supporters and fans who adored them. As with any group, there were certain members who stood out more than the rest, and these were the ones who took the bold step to explore the possibility of releasing a record solo.
Surprisingly, most of the time, it worked! Iconic figures like Michael Jackson of the Jackson 5 made groundbreaking achievements, and thanks to rapper N.O.R.E, who went solo after his rap partner Capone of CNN was incarcerated, the Neptunes were introduced to the world with his hit song “SuperThug!” While being a solo music artist may require more effort, capitalizing on the momentum gained from being in a successful group and releasing a hit record can significantly enhance your chances of success. This playlist celebrates those who achieved this remarkable feat!

"Now going into this playlist I was inspired by rap songs that had that classic feel but something the ladies would be excited to listen to. You know some dope melodies and R&B hooks. I threw a rare gem in there with the AZ record and went it all the way old school with the UTFO record. All the rest are like Top 40 hit records that we all grew to love especially the women. The cool thing is that all these records are about women. Hope you enjoy it."

"Let’s not forget, one of the most featured music artist of our generation. To be honest, I was never really a Weezy fan but his level of confidence and consistency had me checking out songs every now and then. What was most appealing though is that every time a new hit record came out he was featured on it and that said a lot about his statue in the music industry. I had to respect it. There were soo many dope verses, catchy hooks and crazy phrases. So trying to narrow down a selection of songs to make this playlist legit I had to draw from the ones that I personally felt that Lil Wayne got the most busy on. So here’s MY Top 30, ...featuring Tunechi. Enjoy."
Join Da Crowd Radio (Episode 3) Kalifornia Luv
"My first experience in Cali was about 4 years ago when I took myself for my birthday for a week. I went in with the mind set of all the stereotypes from the celebrity sightings, the weather, the weed and the gang banging. When I got there, it was more chill and laid back then I expected. Everywhere from Inglewood, to Compton, to Long Beach, to L.A. and Hollywood was just a dope experience. The food was good, shopping was fun, the events were poppin and the people were awesome. If I could explain it all in music, this playlist would be the soundtrack."

Playlists Of Life - HUSTLE (Hearing Us Speak Through Life Experiences)
Sometimes the word HUSTLE can have a negative connotation so when putting this playlist together I wanted to find songs that displayed different perspectives of hustling. Ironically 50 cent would end up featured 3 times and Jay-Z 2 times who are both infamously known for being street hustlers. How the acronym came about was just natural. Hearing Us Speak Through Life Experiences. Read between the words. It doesn’t get any clearer than that. Hope y’all enjoyed!
Playlists Of Life - How I Listen To Hov
Motzy Says....
"Damn man, I couldn’t wait for this to happen. After putting out 19 playlists and feeling incomplete because I couldn’t put a full Jay-Z song on any of them, was I really doing my due diligence as a curator of Hip-Hop music? I mean I would get the featured verses from others artists songs but it’s nothing like having a Hov song on your playlist. When the OG turned 50 and gave Spotify the green light to stream his catalog I had to jump on this quick! Hope y’all enjoyed it because I know I did!"
Playlists Of Life - Featuring..... Jeezy (The Hits + Bangas & Remixes)
Motzy Says....
"From Trap Or Die to TM104 and probably over 100 features, it took me some time to choose these Jeezy tracks to comprise this playlist. I ended up with 52 that I broke down in 3 categories of the hits, the bangas and the remixes. I listened to it for about 2 weeks while arranging the songs in and order that would flow as if it was telling a story. One of the first music artist from the streets that I saw sell more records than he had Twitter/IG followers at that time. This is my salute to the Snowman.
Hope you all enjoyed."
Playlists Of Life - Time (Talking In Musical Elements)
Time is the one luxury that we can all afford, it’s just important what you do with it because you can’t get it back once you use it within that moment. These 36 songs are variables on how time is not only important but also taken for granted no matter the genre of music. As I see it, time wasted comes from being complacent.
Enjoy!!!
Playlists Of Life - Dreams: A Ville Of Chasers (A Meek Mill & J. Cole Collection)
"What better way to rep for the home team Philly spitta and one of my favorite MC’s from Fayetteville than a combined playlists with some of my favorite songs from both. I found myself constantly going back and forth between their catalogs as I played music in my car so I thought why not make a full project out of it. At first I was just gonna keep it for my own enjoyment but this was just too dope not to share. So if you’re a Meek Mill or J. Cole Fan, hopefully this will make you a fan of both."
Enjoy!!!
