Comedic actor Seth Rogen has starred in such popular films as Knocked Up, Superbad, Zack and Miri Make a Porno and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. The 28-year-old Canadian actor has made his mark on the comedic film genre, but he appears to have turned his attention towards becoming a superhero. according to MTV.com is reporting that the trailer for The Green Hornet, a live-action film that is based on the iconic pulp hero, debuted on the Internet last night.

The Green Hornet is expected to be viewable in theaters located nationwide in standard, 3-D and IMAX screenings beginning on January 14, 2011. The film is directed by Academy Award winning screenwriter Michel Gondry, and it features a star-studded cast of Hollywood performers. Rogen plays the role of protagonist Britt Reid, the hero of the film who serves as the masked crime-fighting superhero.
Kato, the “Green Hornet’s” Asian valet and sidekick, is portrayed by Taiwanese actor Jay Chou. Cameron Diaz, who co-stars in the upcoming film Knight and Day, plays Lenore Case while Academy Award winning actor Christoph Waltz portrays the role of the film’s primary villain, Benjamin Chudnofsky.
