Trey Kidd, also known by his street name “Inkk Boy”, began rapping at age 14. The DC rapper began listening to the multiple genres of music, and notable rappers such as Notorious B.I.G, Ludacris, Twista, Jay-Z, Bone-Thugs, and Lil' Wayne. From here he developed his own unique and original sound. From songs for the club to inspiration “Inkk Boy” makes SURE his works are created for all ears.
Geared to being a hometown favorite, D.M.V (D.C, Maryland, and Virginia), Inkk Boy has released over 3 mix-tapes including his current release “Straight From The Underground”, which has the local single “DMV Anthem”. Currently, “Ink Boy” is working on his debut album, which has the internet popular single “Certified Bad”; it is scheduled to be released later this year (2010).
“Inkk Boy” keeps his name known by performing at local open mic shows, events, as well as massive street and internet promotions. Knowing that being a next big Hip-Hop Rap star isn’t just a dream, it is a realistic goal, so he is putting in his blood, sweat, and tears to make his goal come true. When asked about his thoughts of the music industry the humbled rapper stated “Success comes before work only in the dictionary”.
