Alecia Maxine Brittain was born August 17, 1984 in Montgomery, Alabama. She is the only child of Tamra Davis and Alonzo Swiggett, who said as she got older they realized they were blessed with a child with an angel's voice.

Alecia's love for music was solidified at the age of 7 when she began singing in the church choir. As a child she watched her father perform in various bands - the sound, the instruments, the soulful bellows of the lead singers, the spiritual stirring of live music - inspired her to set her sights on becoming a songstress. Beginning in 2007, Alecia initially began performing and displaying her talents in collaborations and performances with a up and coming rap artists in her area. After these successful encounters, she was sought out by other artists to do hooks in the studio on their projects, which led to local radio stations putting her songs in regular play rotations. As a result of that her father encouraged her to write and record her music. Alecia has recently aquired the services of Skylyn H. & Bobbyz Grind of Grind Kidz Artist Management, Consulting, & Promotions to guide her career and as a result she has been added to many online radio rotations and featured on several sites, including www.vatalent.com with more features and exposure to come.
